    PROVINCIAL NOMINEE PROGRAM  (PNP)

The Provincial Nominee Program is an alternative option to Canadian immigration for individuals who qualify as a skilled worker and wish to settle and obtain permanent status in one of Canadian provinces. The PNP allows provinces and territories to nominate foreign nationals to apply for permanent residence in Canada. Its helping them to fill jobs that are in demand and meet the labor shortages in their province.

If you opt for the PNP to apply for your PR visa, these are the steps:

The PR application differs in each province but the eligibility requirements are similar to the Express Entry Program. After you receive your provincial nomination, they will process your application and provide you the Letter of Intent which means granting  600 points. Then  you will be selected and invited to apply for PR at the very next draw, which occurs every 2 weeks.

Once you get the PR, you will get all the Canadian government benefits. The primary applicant can add their dependents in their application and this will help to get the PR for them as well. Once you land in Canada, the initial  two years should stay in the particular province which gave you nomination. You are free to relocate anywhere in Canada after these two years of stay in that province.
